We keep investing to enhance our testing capabilities to support the automotive industry in China and the development of new energy vehicles. 

Applus+ RA Shanghai has invested in a new laboratory for automotive specialized in the testing of automotive terminals, connectors, wires and harness assemblies.

The new 1000+ sqm laboratory has been up and running since for the past few months, providing wide range of services to meet new demands in safety and performance for connectors and harnesses. Compered to their internal combustion engine counterparts, new energy vehicles have more electrical connections, many of them operating in a more challenging environment, with higher voltages and close to heat-emitting components, like batteries.    

Our service offering includes: mechanical testing, electrical testing, climate testing, protection testing, signal integrity testing and durability testing, to meet different industry standards such as SAE/USCAR-2, SAE/USCAR-17, SAE/USCAR-30, VW 75174, VW 80302,LV 214, LV 215, ISO 6722, QC/T 29106, GMW 3191, Q/JLY J7110195.

This investment widens our portfolio of testing solutions for automotive components, and follows other key recent investments in our Shanghai’s laboratories such as a new semi-anechoic chamber for EMC testing on batteries, a new reverberation chamber or a 12 tones shaker coupling with a large climatic chamber.
